Why You Need a Kindle Paperwhite

Writer: Requires SunshineRequires Sunshine

I read a lot. I don't think it is crazy but I have been told by others that it is excessive. I have a goal to read 125 books in 2023. As of writing this blog post, I have read 42 books. I read physical books, listen to audiobooks and I have an old Kindle from 2014. I love my Kindle and there is NOTHING wrong with it. It still works just as well today as it did 9 years ago. My only issue with it is there is no backlight. Ever since the Paperwhite version came out I have wanted one. It wasn't until I had a toddler who wakes up in the middle of the night for one reason or another that caused me to finally purchase one. When Paige wakes me up in the middle of the night I have a hard time getting back to sleep. I want to read a book to help get back to sleep but I am hesitant because it means I have to turn on a light.

I saw that the Kindle Paperwhite is on sale so I made the decision to give myself an early Mother's Day gift. I don't know why it took me so long to upgrade to a Paperwhite. It is a game changer.
